Syria - The City Of Childrens focused the attention of the global architectural culture on the urbicide of Syrian cities and fully reaffirmed the membership of the country in the cultural heritage of humanity and the cosmopolitan responsibility for its reconstruction.

THE MAKING OF THE FUTURE focuses on the reconstruction of a school for mixed-used purposes. The need for the orphans and widows of the town to be connected to the larger community was a major consideration.

The school was designed to face the city, becoming an extension of the public space. In this way, the town takes part in the orphaned children's education, creating a macro-family and reflecting the wise saying ”it takes a village to raise a child”.
